What is the process?

In a nut shell... 

1. Contact me for a quote and mailing address

2. Mail me your ribbons or I can use my large stock collection

3. I'll let you know when they arrive in the mail

4. I'll lay out a PROOF for you to approve

5. Once approve, I'll send a friendly invoice

6. I start sewing

7. I'll contact you if I have any questions

8. Pack & Mail  :)

How do I Pay?

Please contact me at Therepurposedrider@gmail.com or fill out the contact form to receive a quote.  Once I start on your project, I will send an invoice via email.  I accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and personal check.

Where do I mail my ribbons?

I live local, can I drop off my ribbons?

Yes!  If you live on Long Island, NY I may be able to arrange for pick up and delivery.  Save on shipping!  

 

How long does it take to make?

It depend on how many projects I have ahead of yours. Pillows typically take 1-2 weeks (not including shipping). Quilts take much longer at 6-8 weeks (not including shipping). Pre-made items are ready to ship in 1-2 business days.

How many ribbons does it take?

It depends on the size of the project. A pillow requires about 10-15 typical horse show ribbons (more for dog show ribbons). A wall hanging can require as many as 50-100, depending on size.

Do you offer embroidery?

Yes! Pricing will vary based on how many letters/numbers. Contact me before ordering.

What's on the back?

The back is a cotton or light weight canvas fabric on pillows.  Pre-quilted (when available) cotton backing on quilts.  Your choice of color or pattern (depending on availability).  Popular colors include navy, beige and hunter green.

Do you offer fabric photos ?

Can you use other ribbons, like dog show ribbons?

Yes.  I can use just about any kind of ribbon.  Dog show ribbons, pageant ribbons, etc.  

​

My ribbons are dirty, wrinkled and/or faded.  Is that ok?

Winkles can be steamed out, but I cannot guarantee removal of all stains/spots. Unfortunately, I can not do much about the fading.  I happen to like the faded ribbons. It gives it a vintage look! 

​

My ribbons are sun rotted.  Is that ok?

Unfortunately, I can not sew rotten ribbons.  To check if you ribbons are rotten please give them a gentle tug and twist to see if they rip easily.

Can you send back what you don't use?

Absolutely.
